If you don't see the answer to your question here, feel free to email us at info@woodfirewellness.com.
Each session includes a 90 minute sauna experience. You are able to relax in the sauna or take breaks outside at our seating area. We offer customizable contrast therapy with outdoor cold water buckets, natural cold plunges (only available at certain locations), and smokeless bonfires in our outdoor lounge.
All sauna experiences last 90 minutes and include a sauna host to help you throughout your session. We offer two experiences based on your preference:
Liv is a Finnish-style sauna designed for conversation and connection. With its bright, welcoming interior, Liv is perfect for casual chats and social gatherings. It features ample seating and convenient changing rooms for a comfortable and engaging experience.
Ro is a Russian-style banya where tranquility is the focus. The darker, cozy atmosphere and spacious benches create an ideal setting for quiet reflection and meditation. Ro is crafted to offer a peaceful escape, allowing you to fully unwind and embrace calm.
Here are some recommendations to ensure you have the best experience:
Book your session online in advance to secure your preferred time.
Dress comfortably and bring swimwear or light attire suitable for the sauna.
Stay hydrated and eat a light meal beforehand for optimal comfort.
Bring your essentials such as a towel and water bottle (both are available for purchase on site if needed).
Check with your doctor if you have any medical conditions to ensure sauna use is safe for you.
All guests 18 years and older must create a Mindbody account and accept the liability waiver before participating. Minors under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian create an account and accept the waiver on their behalf, the guardian will need to add the minor to their account as a family member in order to book (see the FAQ question How do I add a minor/child to my Mindbody account?), and the minor must be physically accompanied by an adult during all booked sessions.
If you have any existing health conditions or medical concerns, please consult with your physician before participating.
Alcohol and recreational drugs are not allowed anywhere in the park at any time. You will not be allowed to participate if you are under the influence.
Food is not allowed in the sauna or filtered cold plunge units. Liquid for hydration, however, is highly encouraged.
All guests are required to wear a swimsuit at the minimum at all times.
Eye glasses and jewelry should not be worn in the hot room. They can become damaged by the heat and also burn the skin.
Public displays of affection are not allowed.
Normal friendly conversation is encouraged in our social sauna (Liv) and occasional whispers are acceptable when necessary in our quiet sauna (Ro) - but loud, aggressive, explicit, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated at any time anywhere.
Phones should be set to silent mode and used only in designated areas outside the sauna. In the event of an emergency call, please exit the hot room. Photography and videography are not allowed inside the sauna to protect everyone's privacy. Personal photos are permitted in the cool down room and the outdoor relaxation space – but only with the direct consent of anyone who might be identifiable in the photos.
Please rinse off in the shower before using a filtered cold plunge unit.
Woodfire Wellness is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
Clothing & Footwear: Please bring appropriate clothing for sitting in a sauna and/or cold water exposure (a swimsuit is perfect and can easily be worn underneath street clothes). Some sort of waterproof slip-on shoes are also recommended.
Hydration: Please bring some sort of water bottle (with a lid or cap) filled with your favorite non-alcoholic beverage. Remember that metal will get hotter than plastic in the sauna. We will also have insulated water bottles available for sale along with LMNT electrolyte powder packs and bottled water. Some locations with a pavilion will have a bottle filling station, but this is not guaranteed - and we may not have access to running water in the winter months.
Towels: Please bring a towel to sit on in the hot room - this will help keep our saunas cleaner, but it will also provide a buffer between you and a potentially hot bench seat. A second towel might also come in handy for drying off at the end of a session. We will have towels for sale if necessary.
If there is a park office building or kiosk at the park entrance, please stop and pay the fee to acquire a vehicle permit (unless you already have an annual pass). These fees support the Washington County park system and are unrelated to Woodfire Wellness. One permit is required for each vehicle entering the park.
Follow the signs to our site. There should always be plenty of parking available close to our mobile units.
Look for our Woodfire Wellness employee station. We will get you checked in and direct you to one of our changing rooms.
Our units have changing rooms available for your use. Outdoor showers are not assured but are available at some locations. We do have water buckets and ladles available for rinsing at all locations.
We will strive to keep Liv (our social sauna) running between 160 - 180 degrees. Ro (our quiet sauna) will be maintained at 180 - 200 degrees.
We will try to provide certain items for sale if necessary:
Towels
Sauna hats
Insulated water bottles
Electrolyte powder packs
Bottled water
Woodfire Wellness branded gear
